The Week

I've had Black Beauty out. What beautiful weather for riding a motorbike. Last Friday drove the bike to Oshawa, met up with Eddie and rode for a bit in the Oshawa country side. I miss Oshawa for the nice rolling hills. Kitchener just seems so flat in comparison. Saturday, we had a bike procession from Oshawa to Scarborough for Jay's dad's remains. There were 6 bikes for the procession. It was a beautiful day for a bike ride. I'm sure he was smiling down on us. My father in law's bike is the first one and we bungie corded his remains to the front of his bike. Jay drove his dad's bike in the procession. After the funeral, I took the scenic route home from Oshawa to Kitchener. Went all up north through the countryside. It was beautiful. I've put over 1000km's on the bike just this week. Have to make up for lost time last summer.

We said another good bye. Little Squirt....13 years of great service. She had almost 400,000 km's on her. Jay stripped her bare and off she went to the junk yard. Jay got another escort from a friend. He is now driving Nurple. A very bright purple 1996 escort.

Had another busy weekend of meetings and functions, a baby shower, a bike show, time with friends, dinners and shopping. Things are pleasantly busy, but I'm not getting enough time with my horse lately. This past week, I had a good trotting lesson on him and am looking forward to getting him into a canter this spring and maybe doing some jumping and stuff. Tomorrow we are booking our holiday on a beach in the south. Looking forward to just getting away and doing nothing for an entire week.
