150 of Pure Fat Pleasure
Went to the gym this morning because I didn't think I had enough on my plate for this week. I need to get back in the routine of doing cardio every day and then my physio, so started again this week. (Other things will just have to be put to the side if there isn't enough hours in the day). So.... I stepped on the scale and couldn't believe when I saw 150 pounds. That is my highest weight and I figured with all the work at the barn this last month that I would have lost some fat.....but NOPE...So, now I'm on a mission....especially when my sweet hubby mentioned last week that my cute little bum isn't so little anymore. It's more like a cute medium bum....(thanks Jay). So, if you can't get hold of me....I'm probably at the gym!!!

MechMetal
My youngest nephew, Eizik enjoying his swing...

We have set a date to launch Jay's business, MechMetal. He is planning for Februaury 19th. For the past 10 weeks he has been going to seminars and networking and meeting with his business advisor and things are in motion. So everyone, if you need an engineer for mechanical or structural designs, Jay's your man.... (well, he's mine first, but you can borrow him for that!!)
It is the beginning of a new week and man, was last week a hard one. Being in the barn in -20 degrees is not my idea of a great time, but I survived it. This week I start a bible study class on Monday nights and I have rehearsal on Tuesday and Saturday for playing with the band in church on Sunday. I have a clinic appointment on Thursday so I hope to get some results for the cat scan and the last sputum samples I gave to check for fungus and molds in my lungs. Wednesday is my Grandma K's birthday so I'll head to Woodstock for the day and visit family. And also help out at the farm among all that, so another busy week.

Busy Week Coming
It's going to be a busy one for me. I'm on barn duty Wed, Thurs, and Friday. And helping Wendy today and tomorow. It's alot of work, but I do enjoy it. And I think Brandy enjoys that I'm there all day, because of course... I do some work, pet my horse. Clean a stall, pet my horse. Clean another stall, pet my horse....you get the idea... I have alot of respect for Elsa and Wendy that they do that all day every day. It's just good hard work. Off to the farm now!!

Doctors and Tests and Results, oh boy...
I am now waiting to see a gyno to fix some inside girlie problems. I'm waiting for some more results of sputum sample. My CF Doctor is looking at molds and fungus in my lungs. I'm still waiting to hear about my cat scan.... But went to the dentist last Thursday and my teeth are GREAT!!
Tango is all better and has a new alternator and is awaiting a new battery. Guess I'll wait till next month to paint the bedroom!!

Tango comes home in Style
So, today coming home from Flesherton (about 2 hours north of here) Tango (that is my mustang for those of you who don't know I name my cars, my bikes, etc) Well, he didn't feel like driving anymore and blew his alternater. So just outside of Wallentstein, a nice big flat bed tow truck came to rescue us from the cold. Tango enjoyed his ride home in style and is now sitting peacefully in the laneway waiting to be fixed.....again..... This is the 2nd time in 2 months that he's been towed and repaired. Thank goodness for Home and Auto Club who in the last 3 years of broken down cars and keys locked in cars have been worth every penny it cost to have it. We've probably used 4 times what we paid for the package. Have a pleasant couple days off Tango!!

Home Safe
I was in Oshawa for a couple days for appointments. Had to see the dentist and had to go to the bank in Oshawa to cancel my business account. Couldn't do that here in K-W because I opened the account in Oshawa. So for the $34.00 I had to spend $40.00 in gas to get there and back... Well at least I had a great place to sleep (thanks Robyn and Brian). And my board meeting was cancelled, so I got to sleep in. And of course a cleaning at the dentist. It's been a year since I had a cleaning and I feel plaque free now!! I was back to the barn tonight to help with feeding and tomorrow and Saturday morning as well. Seems to be the hilite of my days the last couple weeks. I'm enjoying getting to really know the horses and they are sooo fun!! They all have their unique attitudes and quirks. And of course when I have the grain bucket, they totally love me!!

Visiting Weekend
This weekend we did the last of our Christmas family visiting. We spent Saturday and Sunday with Jay's brother and his wife and kids. Very busy house with lots of action. The kids are almost 7 and 5. I don't have any pics because silly me forgot my camera, but my sweet little niece taught me how to dance tap, ballet, mexico, and hair fling. Wish I had pics of her dancing. She is so very sweet. (And the parents are in trouble in about 10 years...) My nephew played hockey both days we were there, so he was busy and he showed Jay how to do "play station" and most importantly, how to shut it off after an hour or so..... hopefully a good lesson learned for my Jay....heeheehee.... So an enjoyable visit and ready for another week.

Feel Good Tired
I've been using muscles I didn't remember I had the last couple days. I've been helping out at the farm mucking stalls and doing feeding. It's hard and tiring of work. I have a new respect for Elsa and Wendy the fact they do this every day. I couldn't even move today to help out, but I'll be back there tomorrow with bells on!
I bought a cheapie penny whistle today to start practicing. It'll be awhile before I'll be playing it with the band. It's very LOUD and squeaky! But I'm sure I'll be able to teach myself how to make it work properly. It should be good therapy for my lungs as well.

Happy New Year
Happy New Year to all our friends and family. We hope 2007 is a great year. Any resolutions? I never make any but I do make goals and my number one priority this year is going to be "me". Excercise, physio, proper rest and when I'm tired I'm going to be saying "no" (so be prepared...no more mrs. nice guy!!) My 2nd goal is to learn a new instrument. (I'm thinking about the penny whistle). I'm also going to make band practice and Sunday playing in church a priority. (Toyosi is smiling!!) And that's probably enough for one year. I'm pretty on top of everything else, so those 2 things will be great. Oh...but of course Brandy. I plan on doing alot of learning together with him. It is my hope that financially we will stabilize and then I can take lessons every week for riding and stuff. Happy New Year to all and may 2007 be good to you all.
