Let the Fun Begin....ugghhh....

Well, I started my antibiotics last night for the MAC bacteria. (called Microbacterium Avium Complex) and complex it is....For at least the next 18 months I will be taking a cocktail of antibiotics. First one is Rifampin with side effects of cramps, diarrhea, nausea, and reduced alertness (like I needed help with that one) and orange pee.....funky..... Could also cause liver problems. Then next is Ethambutol with side effects of headaches, diarrhea and nausea and could cause problems with seeing red and green (that will make driving interesting). The third is Zithromycin which is the normal antibiotic that causes the normal problems and then add on the girly problems with that...so....today I feel like kaka. I'm hoping that within a week or so that I'll become used to these antibiotics and won't feel so yukky. I'll be sticking close to home for the next couple days for sure. Our friend Art is coming from the US on Wednesday to spend his thanksgiving with us, then I'm visiting friends for the weekend and leaving the boys the place to themselves. (such a good wife I am!!) Well, that's it for now... I'm off to the farm to ride Brandy with a few friends at the farm. Enjoy the sunshine.
