Feeling great after the news from the surgeon that all is well. All the cancer has been "cut" out and the lymph nodes are all cancer free.... so, today, to celebrate, I went to the farm to work Brandy in the round pen.... I'm teaching him how to dance with me....he follows my feet and keeps his hooves behind my feet. Hoping to get good enough at this that we can put it to music and dance together.
This is desensitizing to plastic bags. Still a bit skitterish to this but coming along. I do this so that if we are out on a trail and a bag flaps by, he won't freak out about it.
Meg is adopting a horse at the farm as well and I asked her to do a Natural Horsemanship deomonstration during the Second Chance Farm Open House this past weekend. She is riding him with just vocal commands. I'm a proud mommy that Brandy lets others ride him. The next Open House will be Sept 1-2 and I hope to be able to do all kind of fun things with Brandy....stay tuned!!
